Public Services oversees the collection and disposal of solid waste in accordance with the agreement between the solid waste contractor, Waste Connections and the City of Terrell.

Residence have two, weekly refuse collection days on either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday and Friday. Refuse needs to be at the curb by 7 am on the scheduled day and containers are to be removed from the curb after pickup.

On each collection day, pickup is limited to 15 bags, cans, and/or bundles. Bags cannot exceed 35 lbs and stacks of magazines or newspapers must be bundled and not exceed 50 lbs. Brush is limited to five (5) cubic yards on the second pick up day (Thursday or Friday) of the week. For brush pick up guidelines, visit: Brush Management

Trash Holidays

There will be no curbside collection on the following holidays:

• Thanksgiving Day 

• Christmas Day 

• New Year’s Day 

Upon these closures, the schedule for trash pick-up will be delayed by one day.
